Legal Disclaimers

In order to nurture the longevity and sustainability of this business, great care has been taken to avoid breaking any laws surrounding the ownership of any copyrights or patents. We do not take the attitude that we are "too small to get noticed", like many game piece manufacturers. We are in it for the long haul.

Regarding IP Copyright; None of the components we make and sell contain any copyrighted terms relating to the IP of a game. We create generisized versions of game pieces that otherwise would contain these terms (such as ship tokens for X-wing) that have these references removed. No, you won't find the words "Luke Skywalker" (copyright by Lucasfilm/ Disney) written on anything we sell, sorry. These terms will only appear on the site in reference to the copyright, acknowledging it's rightful ower. We may make reference to certain game systems, but will only do so in disclaimers such as this and in product descriptions where it is clearly labelled as being "compatible with" a gaming system, so that noone could reasonable mistake the items we make for those being an officially licensed product.

Regarding Patents; Great care has been taken to make sure the supplimentary components we produce are not in violation of any active patents. Most of what we produce are simple gaming tokens, but we do have a range of selectors with dial mechnisms. We have already established that this particular patent has already lapsed into public domain, and will be cautious when producing anything else with a mechanical function in the future.

 

Regarding First Party Products; Our goal is only ever to produce items that are supplimentary in nature to the official content of game systems we support, and it's not our intent to sell customers items that would otherwise replace the purchase of an officially licensed product. Our motto regarding this is simple; 'The official product is always the best tool for playing your games, but we are here to help when those items are difficult to source, or when you'd like simplified options when you already own the official pieces'. Remember to support your local game store when you are able!
